Diane C. Rippa M.D.
Dr. Rippa is the owner of Alder Brook Family Health. She was raised in Burlington and attended local schools. She is a graduate of Harvard University and University of Vermont College of Medicine. Dr. Rippa completed her family medicine residency training at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. She is board certified in family medicine. Following residency, Dr. Rippa spent one and one half years working at the Rutland Hospital emergency room before moving to Essex with her husband. She has been a family physician in Essex since 1987. She moved her successful practice from the Essex Health Center to Alder Brook Family Health in 2001. Her special interests include women’s health, geriatrics and adolescent medicine. When she is not at work, Diane spends all her time with her two sons, Ben and Daniel, her husband David and her dog, Ivy. She enjoys x-country skiing, biking, hiking, reading and traveling.

Elizabeth Newman M.D.
Dr. Newman joined Alder Brook Family Health in 2006. She completed her undergraduate studies at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She received her medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City. She completed her internship and residency in Family Medicine at University of Vermont. Dr. Newman spent a number of years working in Addison County as both an emergency room physician and a family physician. She worked at the Fletcher Allen Health Care walk-in center at Fanny Allen campus before coming to Alder Brook. She is board certified in Family Medicine. When not seeing patients, Dr. Newman spends time with her husband and two children. She enjoys biking, swimming, Nordic skiing and gardening.

Lucy Van Hollebeke R.N., F.N.P.
Lucy completed her undergraduate work at SUNY at Binghamton and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. Lucy spent many years working at Fletcher Allen Health Care on the pediatrics ward. She was an experienced pediatric nurse educator and was instrumental in developing pain control guidelines for pediatric patients at the hospital. She is also an experienced instructor in CPR. Lucy completed her Family Nurse Practitioner training at University of Vermont and graduated at the top of her class. Lucy joined Dr. Rippa in 1999 and has become an invaluable asset to the practice at Alder Brook Family Health. She is particularly skilled in pediatric and adolescent medicine. When not at work, Lucy spends time with her husband Paul and her two sons. She enjoys running, biking and skiing in her spare time.

Nursing Staff:

The nurses at Alder Brook Family Health, Katie, Chris and Joan, all have excellent clinical skills and many years of nursing experience. They will work as a team to accomodate your nursing needs.

Office Staff:

Leeann Runne is our office manager. She will efficiently manage our business team and has many years of medical office experience.

Debbie, Maryann, Kelly and Charlotte will be multi-tasking in our front desk area. They are wonderful, dedicated employees who will help assist you in your health care needs.
